API inspection
Pivot Inspection Services specializes in providing visual inspection and turnaround management
solutions for a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, petroleum, petrochemical, pipeline,
chemical, power generation, and refinery sectors.
Our visual inspection services encompass various certifications, including:
API 510: API 510 standards are commonly used to inspect pressure vessels in operation within the
refining and chemical processing industries. They may also be adopted in other sectors employing
pressure vessels, subject to operator discretion. Our API 510 Pressure Vessel inspectors are experienced,
certified and excel in maintaining, inspecting, repairing, and modifying these vessels to ensure they
meet regulatory standards and perform optimally.
API 570: API 570 standards pertain to piping systems handling various substances, including process
fluids, hydrocarbons, chemical products, natural gas, high-pressure gases, and potentially hazardous
fluids. However, certain piping systems, such as those involving fluid services operating below specific
thresholds or water-related services, may have optional compliance with API 570 requirements.
Additionally, API 570 acknowledges fitness-for-service assessments and risk-based inspection as valid
methods for evaluating on-stream piping systems and pressure-containing components.
Our certified API 570 Piping inspectors possess extensive expertise in the maintenance, inspection,
alteration, and repair of metallic piping systems in operation. Their adeptness in problem analysis,
inspection supervision, testing, and computations related to minimum wall thickness and operational
pressures render them indispensable members of maintenance and inspection teams.
API 653: This standard outlines the minimum requirements for preserving the structural integrity of
welded, non-refrigerated and refrigerated, atmospheric pressure, aboveground storage tanks once they
are in service. It specifically addresses the maintenance of the foundation, bottom, shell, structure, roof,
attached appurtenances, and nozzles up to the face of the first flange, first threaded joint, or first
welding-end connection of the tank.
Our API 653 inspectors specialize in above-ground storage tank (AST) inspections, leading teams in
conducting non-destructive testing and data analysis. They are proficient in performing calculations in
accordance with API Standards and overseeing necessary repairs as directed by the owner.
